Can I use 4G after getting throttled on LTE and not be throttled

I am going to hit 5 gb lte.

If I switch to 4g will I be throttled

I thought it was either 3G or 4G/LTE...there's no in between. My experience is that some months I get hit with a throttle at 5 gigs and my DL/UL speed goes way down and other months I can go past and not get throttled at all.

It make no difference whether you're on 3G or 4G... the bandwidth limit applies to the entire phone's usage.

Also LTE = 4G.

Actually it is. Google it. 4G is supposed to be LTE but some networks call their HSPA+ network 4G when it's really a suped up 3G.

So, 4G=LTE

I seen threads in other forums that discuss changing carrier settings so you'll only get 3G(Hspa+) only. This supposedly bypasses the throttling that's imposed on LTE.

This is a great idea I know I can turn off lte but will it work just using 4G

From the first few paragraphs on Wikipedia, you seem to both be wrong.

What Myiphone7 is referring to is HSPA+, not 4G but LTE technically isn't 4G either but they agreed to call it 4G due to "marketing pressure and significant advancement that WIMAX, HSPA+ and LTE bring to the original 3G technologies" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LTE_(telecommunication)
