iPhone 4 motherboard replacement

I wanted to know if it is at all possible to exchange an iPhone 4 motherboard with an iPhone 4s motherboard. if it is possible is it more extensive than just swapping the boards? I am a service tech at a cell phone store so i am very familiar with android phones but i dont know much about iphones since we are not allowed to open them.
