Just get it already cheaper from Amazon. They have it at $100 off a lot.. or try open box at best buy even. $101 off is just so lame for a Black Friday event. Apple is really bad at a real sale because well.. people will buy them anyways

thanks for the input! Will check out amazon

Anything less than 10% not worth getting too excited about.... I'll just wait for 2013 Airs with Haswell and anything without the HD4000 GPU.

There is no education discount for the iPhone/iPad and the discounts don't stack on top of each other.

Here in the UK there is education discount on iPads, I guess I'll just wait till Friday to see what the discounts are

lol joke of a discount
well, here in Canada, I have not seen deals better than this all year, every year since I've been keeping an eye on apple products for past 2 1/2 years,, most you see on an iPad at the major chains is 20 dollars off,, you might see 20-30 of the touches,, but that's about it, no one does more than 7or8%,, this is a 10% discount on average.

The one thing that is a great deal is when 3rd party vendors sell the iTunes cards at 20% off (25.00 for 20) -- great way to get apps at even better prices

There is actually - I used my educational discount on an iPad earlier this year, it only equated to something like 3% discount, but every little helps.

Not taken part in Black Friday event before. Silly question but what time does the event start online (UK)?
Is it midnight or normal shop opening time - say 9.00am.?

bump for those people who are thinking they are getting a ipad 5 for 200 bucks and macbook airs for 500 come black friday.

Apple basically gives everyone the student discount which you get anyway if you just say your a student or buying it for your kid who is a student. No id is required. Unless you by the Adobe Suite then you need a student email address.
