I see. Our sub is ASS/SSA. Might as well recommend for vobsub for future use. And how do you know if it's vob or ass/ssa?

Via the free(!!) MediaInfo:

SSA / ASS (Suzumiya, http://www.auby.no/files/video_test..._vorbis_styled_and_unstyled_subs_suzumiya.mkv ):

(I've also annotated the UTF-8 text stream. Note that this video has human-friendly names to make it easy to distinguish between the two AAS streams. I deliberately NOT annotated them as most files don't contain human-friendly, additional labels.)

VobSub: ( file: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/13100693/html/042012RetinaHDVideoPlayers/lupaus-ads-orig.mkv ):

Thanks for those. Will try to compare it later~
Found a solution by the way, I just have to make the subtitle smaller to see all. Thanks again!

I would like to know when it will be possible to keep all iOS devices in sync so that it does not matter which device you use they are all up to date with the information whether it be notes, reading plan or bookmarks.

iCloud works just great for me in this respect.

Time to bring this thread up again xD

Well just recently I had a problem playing Hi10 files with my RushPlayer+ in my iPad. Any solutions for that? It shows a green screen.
I still prioritize retina display though~ Pls indicate if it's retina display supported or not.

Btw, my brother updated his Galaxy Tab 7.7 to Note 10.1 and a Hi10 file played almost smooth. But you can still notice some slow motion issues.

Thanks!

AFAIK Hi10 files can't be decoded in hardware on iDevices, hence the green screen. Green screen is also presented with other incompatible but H.264 formats like interlaced video. Only SW decoding works with Hi10 with some players - but it'll be VERY slow if you play back 1080p.

I'd recommend using Handbrake to rip the DVD to an iPad compatible format.

http://ipad.about.com/od/ipad_tips/a/How-To-Convert-A-Dvd-To-The-Ipad-For-Free.htm

just downloaded handbrake to my pc & attempted to copy a dvd ( "ghost protocol") this has recently been purchased legitimately so its not a pirate or any illegal type of copy. However handbrake refuses to recognise it when I click on the movies name in "source"! The disc plays ok in the pc & also in my dvd player so its not a faulty disc. Any ideas?

Try iPad Transfer Software it can help you transfer movies to iPad easily and fast.

Please don't advertise Aisee-soft's cr@ppy products.

Everyone else: stay away from this converter. It sucks really bad. Get HandBrake instead.
