Very welcome. I may pick one up myself as a "beater" watch for vacations, camping, etc. All my low end watches have leather bands so they're not waterproof.
i like my invicta, quality seems really good.

Go for the Omega. It is a stunning watch. I have an Omega Deville - a classy, understated, elegant timeless watch. I bought it for myself as a belated Christmas present in January 2010, having spent at least the previous three years drooling over it. I haven't regretted it for one minute, and wear it daily, with a nice, understated dark leather strap.

What I wear everyday. It's accurate and it's a brand most people don't know about.
They are a fantastic brand and have made some really beautiful watches. I haven't seen many for sale though, save in the very high end jewellery stores.

I think it's a personal decision. Like clothing or jewelery. Buy it if you want/like/need it.

I am trying to pay off the $2k on my credit card. Small steps for me. 😉
If you have $20k to spend on a time piece that's great. I hope to be in that situation some day (I don't see it on the horizon), but I don't think it's something we can help with. It's really a personal preference thing.

Here you go guys. The IG pic will have to do until i figure out an easy way to transfer pics from my iPhone to my Mac's wirelessly.
iMessage tends to work well for that. It works the same as texting an image.

I'd never spend more than $100 on a watch, but then again I don't wear them. I just pull out my iPhone 4S.
