They are doing a lot of network upgrades. I was getting speeds like that at my workplace until a couple of weeks ago. Now the speeds are crazy fast! Defo the best network for internet!
ah I miss being GSM. It was so much better but unfortunately I had to give up AT&t.
So much better than what? And why?
I've read that on CDMA that when you are receiving an SMS your phone can't receive calls :O
I get similar speeds with Three also on my iPhone 5. I have to admit before I got my iPhone 5 I was looking forward to getting LTE and perhaps switching to EE but after receiving great speeds on Three and the extremely overpriced deals EE are offering which lack any unlimited plan at all I've not even given it a second thought, I am sticking with Three for the foreseeable future.
And to think I actually joined this network back in 2003 when they launched and I had that horrible NEC e606 for £200 on their Contractless pay as you go plan. The battery life on that phone was so terrible it actually came with two batteries and you literally had to use both every day. Back then the network was a walled garden couldn't even access the web if you wanted to, only their little shop of rubbish videos and ringtones. Boy how times have changed
I wonder what was the point of 3G umts in 2003 if they didn't have web access!! But yeah things have changed a lot, specially since the first iphone launched!!! In Spain using internet on the phone was unheard of. I remember I had to pay 3 euro for 150kb (kilobytes!!!) with Vodafone to check my emails back in 2000 !!!
