KeyAccess (KA-280) Error

I've been having this occurring problem on a few applications on my mac where the KeyAccess (KA-280) window pops up and instantly quits my application. It has happened to my VLC player and now my iPhoto application. How do I fix it? I've been looking online for a solution but I haven't found any yet. Thanks!
