Harder to press certain keys on keyboard?

Hey all,

First, sorry if this is considered a re-post; I posted this first in the Macbook Air board because I was not aware of this one. So again, my apologies.

So I have a relatively new 2012 Macbook Air, purchased in September. Everything is fantastic, except for one tiny (and it really is) thing that sometimes bugs me, which is that the escape key is a little hard to press sometimes, and occasionally it doesn't register because I didn't press down hard enough or in the right place on the key. It also makes a different, "clickier" sound when I press it compared to the other Fn keys. I know it's not a deal breaker by any means, but since I do use that key fairly often, it becomes noticeable when it doesn't work every once in a while.

Does anybody know if this is a simple fix that the Apple Store could easily take care of (i.e. just pop off the key and fix/replace it)? Again, the escape functionality itself works fine; I feel it may be something with the keycap that is causing the problem.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Yeah, they could probably fix it on the spot. I had a key actually pop off and break, and they had a replacement key on within a few minutes.

Worst case, you take it in, they check it out, and tell you that it's the whole keyboard - in which case you can just decide to live with it. I figure, might as well get it checked out while it's still under AppleCare, even if you don't care, because the day you start caring will be the day after your AppleCare expires
