I have the 128GB SSD and I was thinking of using CCC to mirror the internal 128 to a 320 GB just in case something happens to the 128.

I have done this before on 13" MBP's with success but will the MBA allow me to use CCC to image another drive just in case and will Lion boot which I believe it should?

I thought this way if the 128 dies, all I have to do is have Apple replace it, then I can redo the image again with my 320GB?

I do not keep any files on it, other than my configuration and iCloud stuff?

Yes, it's a common setup for changing drives and reinstalling. If it's that important, get 2 drives and put one on a safe place. There are good instructions in CCC on doing this.

Yup, it will work exactly that way. That's why people like using CCC for backups. I use it in conjunction with Time Machine and Crashplan because I like having redundant backups.
