Mac Keeps on freezing

Hello. I posted this in the MBA section, but I think it fits better here. My MBA, has recently started to freeze once or twice a day. When it freezes, I have to do a hard restart because I cannot get to the force quit window.

I was wondering if anybody can help me figure out what is causing it to freeze up. Thanks.

This could be a number of things. Does it totally freeze, or do you still have mouse control? Try taking it in to a genius, they have diagnostic tests they cand do. What OS are you on?

It totally freezes, no mouse control, and when it freezes w/ music on, the music would just stutter continuously. I'm not really close to any Mac stores, and also I have a presentation soon, so I don't want to turn in my computer in yet.

It's MacOS X 10.6.8, either leopard or snow leopard (can't remember).
