Apple TV 160Gb Question (A1218)
I have just bought a Apple TV 160Gb on eBay and was just wondering if the USB on the back has the option of adding a external hard drive ??
Maybe new firmware to enable this ?? Anyone help on this matter please Regards Adam Last edited by SimplyMac2012; Nov 28, 2012 at 03:08 PM. |

Checkout Appletv first gen section
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_T..._generation.29
It explains all, I dug mine out last week, installed software & got bored and reset it, each to their own! |

Quote:
1. Do-It-Yourself, which involves more technical knowledge. A good place to start is the Beginner's Guide on the AwkwardTV Wiki. 2. aTV Flash, a pre-packaged and commercially supported "point and click" version from FireCore. Either way, you still have to supply your own USB flash drive. Not every USB flash drive can be used, however, as the Apple TV is picky about the types of USB flash drives it'll boot from. |
