iPhone 5 - Green flash of light at the bottom of the lock screen
After my iPhone 5 has been locked (sleep) for awhile, when I go to wake it, a small, quick flash of green light rises up from the bottom of the lock screen ans up around the bottom corners. If I lock it and unlock it right away after that, it doesn't do it. Only when it's been sitting for awhile.

Hi - I can confirm same issue on my iphone 5. Have noticed it at least twice in the last 12 hours.
As prev. poster mentioned, it's always when the display has been off for at least a few mins. Clicking power or home to wake the phone up produces a small greenish hue / light on all sides of the iPhone screen - like its shining inwards from the very edges of the screen. Doesn't seem to happen if you've just been using the phone. |

I can confirm this is happening to my white iphone 5 also. Should we replace our phones?

Don't notice it any other time, so I don't think its a big deal. |

Same thing
Same thing happened to me today. You can't take a picture of it because it happens in an eye blink.

I don't want to bump a thread, but I also don't want to make a new one lol.
I got my iphone 10 days ago, and noticed this instantly.... Are we still in the dark for the cause of it? I don't think its growing and it fades quickly, but I am worried about the long term effects...especially when we don't even know what causes it. I don't want to replace it but if its going to have long term effects then I don't really have a choice . I can live with it if it isn't doing any permanent damage and fades quickly :O

Take it in for replacement. It's caused by a faulty screen.
