I've got the same problem. MiniPlayer only shows buttons not the song info for me.

i get that view when the cursor is hovering over the mini player. otherwise, it shows the song title and artist.

It should show when you're not hovering, and the dark, call-out type dialog occurs when songs change.

I have a Snow Leopard laptop and a Mountain Lion iMac. It appears on Snow Leopard in both views. In Mountain Lion it only appears in the Mini player. Appears to be a bug.

Solved it: Hit the tab key a few times till the "focus" changes and the info is shown.

Silly UI.

I get the pop-up song info when the song changes, yes. But there's no hover state for me. It's just buttons. Lots of buttons.

Nope.. Only in iTunes 11 on 10.8.2... Never seen this on IOS, but the Search on the App Store is useless. Half the time it returns no results.

Went to the trouble of registering just for this one post

I have major OCD issues with my iTunes library - I have the Digital Booklet sorted first, followed by the Music Videos off the album, then the actual album. iTunes 11 apparently stuffs that up - the only way I've found to sort different media is to create Disc 1, Disc 2, Disc 3 etc and attribute it that way (good ol' sorting apparently doesn't do the trick anymore).

Otherwise, I'm yet to find fault - well, it's only been a few hours............

Initial impressions...LOVING iTunes 11. The new UI is a refreshing change and by using 11 the way I used 10.7, I haven't run into any bugs/glitches. Also really loving how it doesn't lag with large lists like it did in 10.7, everything scrolls smoothly!

EDIT: Disappointed that I can't have the black background in Movies/TV shows, don't like the white when the brightness is high...

Lots of glitches. I hope they add more filtering and sorting options in the music field like before.
