Wewt!! Ordering mine now.
27" with 3.4 GHz Core i7 and 728 GB SSD. Will use my external thunderbolt for more storage and buy aftermarket RAM. Anyone know why you can't get a fusion drive with the 728 GB SSD and 3 TB HDD. Would work much better for me (yes, I would use most of that storage). Last edited by Mobster1983; Nov 30, 2012 at 02:50 AM. |

Honestly, probably not. Although, I don't know what you'll be using the computer for.

I still can't help but feel the new iMac is a downgrade from the previous generation.

I just changed my order and went the whole hog - i7, 32gb ram, 3tb fusion and nVidia 680MX (and AppleCare) ... not much more than my original order - it's not like I'm going to be buying one of these every week ... in for a penny, in for a pound!

No user upgradeable RAM on the lower end model, just BTO.

can you upgrade the ram yourself ? otherwise you paid 180$ too much for your ram upgrade rofl. i think the fusion drive should come stock honestly or at least give us 7200rpm stock drives. i really want one of these. with edu pricing you can have a nice i7 model 8gigs ram 1tb drive for 1580$. damn wish i didint just buy a macbook pro

Will be interesting if you can add your own ram and ssd to the 27" model than it will be nearly the same price to take the base 27 vs 21.5 with 16gb+fusion |

Ordered. At last!!! The relief was palpable. It's going to be a great Christmas!
![]() Went for the medium amount of RAM from Apple, which I know people will smirk at, but it was only £160 and I can always upgrade a year down the line for peanuts and have a nice upgrade to look forward to

Got mine high end 27 inch iMac max out except for ram you'd be a fool to buy ram from apple. Couldn't be happier. Tears of joy been waiting since April without a computer just an iPad as my main machine. Yayyyy
