Hello everyone.

I am stuck in choosing what RAM i should buy when i get my hands on a new 27" iMac:
-3.4GHz i7
-1TB Fusion Drive
-GTX 680MX

I have decided to upgrade the RAM myself to 32GB 1600Mhz.

I have 3 choices and i can't make a decision on what would be best.

OPTION 1: - Mac Memory
2x Corsair 16GB CMSA16GX3M2A1600C11 - (2x8GB) Mac Memory, 1600MHz DDR3
@ $141 a piece = Total of $282

OPTION 2: - Mac Memory
4x Kingston KTA-MB1600/8GFR 8GB DDR3 1600MHz 204Pin SODIMM Retail Apple Memory
@ $62.50 a piece = Total of $250

OPTION 3: - NON-Mac Memory
2x Corsair 16GB Vengeance SODIMM RAM (CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10)
@ $109 a piece = Total of $218

Note: All prices are AU (might be slightly higher than US prices)
Any feedback would be appreciated,
Cheers.

All memory is Mac compatible- so long as it fits. If the RAM is large, double check to ensure it will fit in the new iMac, which, given the width, is probably a tight fit. I don't know about the reliability of the manufacturers you brought up, but they all seem like trustworthy brands.

I personally prefer Crucial for lower voltage RAM modules at 1.35Vs and guaranteed compatibility.

Thanks everyone for your recommendations. I'll have a closer look at crucial. But i'm thinking of going with the Corsair Mac Memory (just to be safe) and I've had corsair products in the past which have been great. (and because i can get it locally)

Still have a few weeks to think about it.

Just buy the cheapest possible DDR3 1600MHz sodimms and run memtest when you receive them.

If you want to be safe, passing memtest is much much more dependable than spending more money.
