How do you keep your large iTunes Libraries running fast?
I have a decently sized library with over 10K audio files and 200+ movies/tv shows. Plus all the iDevice apps and sync stuff. How do you guys keep it running smoothly? Every time I do a search, I get the spinning beach ball of death for each character as it tries to find my files.
I do have all my media saved to my Drobo network so I'm guessing that is part of the problem. But is there anything else or other ideas some people may have? I like the drobo because it's constantly backing up my almost 2 TB of iTunes stuff. The computer running all of this is an MacMini Server 2011. All help and suggestions appreciated. Thanks! Mike |
