is the mac app store down? get a message saying this everytime i try to update iwork but can view apps no bother

Glad to see this thread, I've been trying to update ML all morning and keep getting that error message too, even though the other tabs (excluding Purchased & Updates) work.
 
Same here, tried to check for app updates in iTunes 11 and on both iPhone and iPad, it's always "cannot connect to itunes store" on the iOS devices and the update button in iTunes just does nothing at all.
