Need help finding a game from the 90's

This is quite hard to explain as I remember only small details about it.

As far as I remember it was some sort of futuristic shooter.
The character you played appeared to be a human in a really futuristic suit.
The helmet you wore was large, long, black and pointy.
Enemies were alien type creatures
When you used the parachute to jump from place to place it appeared as black bands with nothing between the bands.

This was a game that was free, but I cant remember if it was a trail type game.
I played it on the first 'revolutionary' colour all in one mac in the 90's. May have also been very early 2000's

Hope thats enough information to get someone to know what im talking about!

Thanks!

It is MDK. I think it was bundled with the original iMacs along with Nanosaur demo.

Definitely MDK. Great game, still lots of fun (love that sniper mode).

For a couple bucks, you can get that game for your Mac today. Go to gog.com, they have started a section of old games ported to the Mac, and they run great. They even have a few freebies!
