I don't think I've posted this one before, it's getting hard to tell with the move from flickr to photobucket...

Love MF. Shoot a lot of my stuff on my Hasselblad 500CM. What lens was this shot with? After checking out the camera, looks great by the way, I can't quite figure out if it has two options for the lens 80mm and 55mm or they are two separate cameras. Was this with the 80mm? |

Just got my first DSLR this week and I've been loving it! Since I have to pick just one to start with, I think this is one of my favorite shots so far (that took hardly any post work):
![]() Didn't Get Far by SnickerSnackClick, on Flickr EXIF: 1/800, ƒ/5.6, ISO 400, 35 mm Canon EOS Rebel T3i, 18-55mm kit lens EDIT: As much as I like having "hardly any post work", a second look at the photo made me realize that it could benefit a bit from it. Here's what I came up with after a touch more work on it: ![]() Didn't Get Far (Reprocessed) by SnickerSnackClick, on Flickr

There are two separate models of this camera; mine is the "bellows" version with the 80mm lens and there is a non-bellows, wide angle version (which is a lot more expensive) with the 55mm lens. Thanks again for the kind words on my photo! |

BarryJ, is this an easy place for you to get back to? I'd love to see the same shot but from lower down and angled slightly upwards, so you still get the tip of the rocks, but you also get the nice line of trees and rocks to the rivers edge. It may require mounting your camera upside down under your tripod to achieve it and being lower on the rocks. Just a thought, I do have them occasionally....
![]() ---------- I love the blue light snatches that you have captured here, did you open the door to that angle at the top of the stairs deliberately to get that reflection? It looks great with the bits on the bannisters as well. Now I can see what Phras was suggesting when she mentioned the blue light to you earlier on with regard to the other side of the room.

I was underwhelmed with the images my new Nikon 70-200 f4 initially produced. However, after playing with it today I am feeling better about my purchase:

Went back to the library today, couldn't scam my way up to the third floor, so I'm going through the formal request route to have some official escort me up there to get the killer shot. Took this one whilst I was there. Sorry Doylem, it's an HDR combine of seven shots.
It'll be a little while till I'm able to master Phras' technique, but when I do, I'll post it.The colours are not quite how I want them! ![]()
