What is the difference between these 2 RAM's?

I want to know if I go with the cheaper option would it fit on my new iMac (read some reviews it supposedly fits on 2011 iMacs)? Would I get better performance with the more expensive option? I will be installing 16GB RAM on the new 27" i5 base model

Prices have really shot up since a few weeks ago. Companies must know people are buying the 1600 for their macs. 2 weeks ago there were a few places that had 16gb for around $50.

If it's a 2011 model, it's limited to 1333, so there's no point in getting the 1600. If it's a 2012, it'll run 1600 at full speed.

I actually bought the stuff that you recommended in a post a week or 2 ago. $100 for 32GB. I was worried that it was cheap RAM, but upon getting it, it said it was tested and had a lifetime warranty, so win.

Also, I noticed the same stuff shot up to $70 for 16GB instead of $50.
