I love watches! Thankfully my wife tolerates my obsession. The Kobold is my deployment watch. I prefer not to bang up some of my nicer watches. The JLC is one of my old WW2 pocket watches converted for pilots to use as wrist watches.

I'm planning on taking my christmas money and getting a Tissot. Still unsure which one. I currently wear a timex but I finally want to get something nice.

The JLC is lovely - some of the WW2 watches are really beautiful. Thanks for posting it. Do you ever actually wear it? If I had such a lovely timepiece, I'd make a point of wearing it on occasion; such watches are made to keep time, not gather dust in secure setting.

Lovely Tissot. I had a Tissot before I bought my current watch, and found it to be an excellent watch, lovely on the wrist with a clean, easily read, classical face, and an excellent time-keeper. I hope you manage to lay hands on it and enjoy wearing it.

I do wear it a lot when I'm home. I also have a converted Omega pocket watch from the same time period. My other favorites are my WWI trench watches. Have a lovely 1918 Rolex which I wear quite often as well.

I love the clean looks, I love the color (or lack thereof) and I love the fact that it's only 39mm wide considering my small wrists. Plus, it's pretty cheap.

To me there is nothing that can make a watch worth $20K, unless I was a multimillionaire, then why not if I liked the product.

You know, all watches.. even watches in that cash bracket. its not all about the Diamonds, rose gold, platinum and all that. If I had to speak for everyone in this thread. I understand, and I love watches. I just can't justify $20k on a watch when that's about 30% of my yearly salary. I now have 7 watches ranging from $200 to $800 that have taken me over a decade to collect.

Not sure what was the point of your first question to me with that follow up response.
