Best iCal alternative?

I like iCal but when I want to change a task to another day, it doesnt allow me to see a calendar to choose the new date so I have to work out the date the day is on and then manually enter the date.

Any FREE iCal alternative that runs well on iMac?

I like Dave's Remember?. (search with the question mark, it's part of the name) I don't think it's free, but it didn't cost me much, and you never have to pay for an upgrade.
