Start Up Disk out of Memory!?

Out of the blue yesterday applications started hanging and I got this warning popping up.

I removed 6 gigs of downloads and trash, even while having around 200 Gigs FREE at the time.

I restarted and now I just got another warning ( see attachment ) Again I currently have 203 Gig of space on my harddrive...

Confused and annoyed.

Help?

-Matthew

Open Activity Monitor and go to the System Memory* tab and look for Page Outs and Swap used and report back.
Using Activity Monitor to show you CPU and RAM usage
* Mac OS X: Reading system memory usage in Activity Monitor

Though I did just find HUGE amounts of files on my desktop. A 36 Gig folder of movies...Just moved that to my Movies folder in harddrive.
