iDVD 2009: How to replace chapter thumbnails

In the Inspector palette, there's a checkbox to use a still image from the actual video clip. Is there a way to use a standalone image outside of iDVD? I tried a drag-and-drop a JPG image from my desktop to a thumbnail dropbox, but that didn't work.

All I can say is that that should work. Try creating a new project and see if it works in that.
