Alas, I can't revel in the joyous occasion that is this announcement. Apple maps works perfectly well in the Podunk little craphole I live. Hope everyone else enjoys it for me.

In a way, the premature release of Apple Maps wasn't a bad thing.

About time Google Maps got an update. Google wouldn't have done it.

This happens quite often when a new app goes live for a few minutes. You just don't notice because your trigger finger isn't usually this itchy.

End of story. I couldn't care less for any other feature. Although I do like Apple Maps use of vector data... it's really nice when I'm in a 2G area...
