iPhone 4 or 4S?

I seem to be stuck in deciding, I need a long lasting phone and iPhone 4 has been around for a long time so is it worth getting an iPhone 4 or 4S?

Is the iPhone 5 not an option? If not, I would get the 4S. It is still a super capable phone.

I cannot afford an iphone 5, which is why 4 or 4s is what I was considering, 4S is what my boyfriend keeps telling me to get, I just want a long lasting one and if 4S is no danger of outdating anytime soon, then thats the one I will get

4S just made a year old last month where as the 4 will be 3 years old in June 2013.

Definitely 4S.

As you mentioned the 4 is an entire product cycle older than the 4S and therefore will be phased out of OS updates sooner than the 4S.

I just added my sister onto me and my wife's shared data plan and got her a 4S. She wanted to switch from her clunky MetroPCS Android phone and has a mountain of accessories for her iPod Touch using the old 30-pin connector.

The 4S takes advantage of all of the great features of iOS6 such as voice turn by turn in Maps and panorama mode in the Camera app that the iPhone 4 does not do. Not to mention Siri is only for the iPhone 4S and up.

The 4S has twice the speed, 7 times better graphics, 8MP camera, 1080p recording and Siri.

If you care about battery life, get the 4. The 4S has the lowest battery life out of all 3 latest iPhones, including the 5...With the 4 having the longest.
