JCLrox macrumors member Join Date: Feb 2012	Do I need to reinstall iPod software after replacing hard drive? I have an original iPod, first gen, and I want to replace the hard drive. Before I do this, I want to be sure I know what I'm doing, so will I need to reinstall the iPod software on the hard drive? If so, how would I go about doing this? Thanks!
