About to buy a new iMac: advice appreciated

Hi there,

I'm about to buy a new iMac and would appreciate some advice on which one to go for. So, here are the options I'm currently considering:

1) 21.5-inch: 2.9GHz
2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i5
16GB memory
1TB hard drive

2) 21.5-inch: 2.9GHz
2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i5
8GB memory
1TB Fusion Drive

3) 27-inch: 2.9GHz
2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i5
8GB memory
1TB hard drive

Now, I'm a web developer and will use this machine mostly for work. I guess what I'm really asking is:

1) Bearing in mind my line of work, do you think I would be better off investing my money on more RAM or on a Fusion Drive?
2) I know this is entirely subjective, but I just can't decide whether to go for the 21.5-inch or the 27-inch. What would you do? Do you think the base 27-incher offers the same performance as the higher specced 21.5-incher? The good thing about the 27-inch model is that I could upgrade the RAM myself pretty easily.
3) Do you think the differences between the base 21.5-inch model and the higher specced one are significant enough to justify the price hike?

Thanks in advance, guys. Look forward to your answers.
