I have used them, but I wish we had more control, like with treble and bass. I like that with the Android music players. You can make your flat earphones sound amazing with the PowerAmp EQ.

According to some audiophile fan page flat is the best setting for iDevices (not, 'off').

From my A/Bing with a studio quality pair of headphones Flat sounds the same as off (and it should as the EQ is all in software).

i use "electronic" setting when i use earphones. when i connect it to car i leave flat and equalize from car radio to "bass +2, mid -1, treble +3", because usually its the best setting for EDM.
