I agree wholeheartedly. Savant would be a great acquisition for Apple.
Nope. Yestertech. They will be falling like all the other dominos if or when Apple decides to get into this. With all the apps now written for iDevices it honestly would not be giant leap for Apple at all to get whole home automation package going. Lighting, security, locks, A/V, heating, etc. are already covered with apps from separate companies and bundling them together is already fairly easy so I personally don't think Apple needs to go buying other companies to achieve this.
Think Lutron or another lighting control company for starters instead of those companies that are basically just controllers anyway like AMX, Crestron, Control4, Savant. Shoot Apple already is kicking their tails without even lifting a finger! The companies are writing apps for them!
