iTunes 11.0.1 will not let me add songs.

I've been trying to add several songs that I have downloaded from online to iTunes but when I drag to iTunes nothing happens. I've also tried double clicking on the song so it can just start playing and going to "add to playlist" but the song still does not get added. The song is an MP3 file so I don't see why it is not being added. iTunes does nothing to the song and it does not even show up on a playlist. is anyone else having this problem? or know how to fix it.

Log out of the store and log back in again. I had the same problem and this worked for me

Cannot add movies that have been handbrakes??

The exact same thing is happening to me. Can't seem to be able to fix it :/
