Using FaceTime over 3G to abroad.
My question is, I'm in Australia using wifi and my girlfriend is Facetiming me from the UK over 3G. Will there be any extra charge for me because I am abroad?

It uses data, so no charges (as long as you have enough data available).
Also you can use iMessage with iOS devices to send "free" text messages around the world.

You're using wifi, how would you get charged? Your girlfriend won't get charged as long as she doesn't exceed her data usage.

Facetime is done over the internet and not through a phone line so no, long distance charges do not apply.
