Upgrading iOS 4 to 5 on iPhone 4 possible at this point in time?
Is it possible to upgrade an iPhone 4 that is still on 4.3.3 to 5? Or is that option no longer possible at this point in time?

Nope, not unless you have shsh blobs saved for that device for prior builds.
The only thing you can restore or update it to is the latest 6.0.1 |

Nope. You'll have to go to iOS 6.
