I figured out today that if you wait long enough, the app update badge automatically goes away

I had an update and didn't want it because the reviews for it were bad (crashed etc).

So I just lived with the 1 badge on my Apps icon.

Well today, after some time, its gone.

When I searched for the app, I found it, and it just said "update" where it normally says $0.99

And Happy Holidays to all of my good friends on Macrumors.

Don't think you can. It sometimes disappears and reappears for me. Probably depends on the Internet connection or something.
