Macbook Pro worth it??
I was searching for a Macbook Pro and found a listing on Craigslist, and I was wondering if $500-550 is a price for it.
Here are the specs: -2009 15 Inch Macbook Pro -Processor: 2.53 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo -Memory: 4gb -Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB -Software: Mac OS X 10.8.2

I think that's a good deal. I sold my mid 2009 13"pro with similar specs for $500. My battery was dying though

Craig's List is at a minimum, 20-25% cheaper than Ebay for electronics. Electronics on Ebay sell for close to face value even if used. Especially Apple electronics. I've seen iPad 2's sell for $200 in Los Angeles on Craig's List, MacBook Pro's in working condition going for 400-450, iPhone 4S's selling for $250-300 and those constantly sell for much more than that on Ebay. If he found that price on Ebay, of course it's a great deal. But shopping around locally? You can sometimes find a 15" MBP 2010 that supposedly won't boot, buy it for $400 and SMC reset it and have a working MBP for that price. The question is whether you want to spend that time searching or not. |
