[Windows] Call of Duty Black Ops II

I want to purchase this game for my new 2012 iMac to play via Bootcamp. Is there a difference between the retail version of the game (the one you can purchase in store) and the online downloadable version from Steam? I see Steam is $10 cheaper, and I can get it instantly (rather than wait for delivery of the retail version from Best Buy).

There's no box with Steam, but that's about it.
