What happened to MacThemes.net?

I've been trying to access it for two months, and it has been down :/. Is MacThemes.net gone?

Are there any other similar sites? The modding community there was so extensive - I haven't been able to find another place like it.

Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing. Their domain hasn't expired, but maybe their host vanished?

Yeah, the only alternative I can find is ShapeShifter, which is okay but it costs like $20 to register and it isn't open-source

ThemePark is much nicer, but MacThemes.net seemed to be hosting most of the non-ShapeShifter themes (At least ones that are compatible with Mac OS X 10.4/5 for PowerPC.)

I've been getting timeout responses from their server for a while now. Apparently this has happened more than once for long periods of time:

I'm wondering how long that has been up there. For all we know, "within 24 hours" could have been weeks ago.

I see. Well, I sure hope they didn't go under. I mean, they spent a lot of time on that new forum look and I don't think it's been up for even a year.

I was hoping to change things up on my current theme but seeing as its inaccessible I have no problem with what I got.

Its strange that they spent years making a new theme for the forum, and then about 5 months later to get rid of the forum. Whats with that really long image url you posted?
