Photos/Videos on Apple TV 1080p (old silver user using new black model)

How do I get my photos from iPhoto to appear on it? I've never used Home Sharing until now - old silver Apple TV syncs like an iPhone.

I've enabled Sharing in iPhoto, but still can't get my photos to appear. I don't want to use Photo Stream, I want to be able to stream my photos from my Mac without internet.

well it does not use internet it only uses your home network

In iPhoto under Sharing, I've checked 'share my photos'.

However, I can't get them to appear on the Apple TV. When I go to Computers and select my library, it only lists music, movies and TV shows, no photos.

Any ideas?
