Still doesn't work for me either. South Florida here with iPhone 5 and unlimited.
Your will eventually go back to "off" if I'm not mistaken. |

Don't touch FaceTime or Hotspot. I had Hotspot on my mini (AT&T unlimited LTE) for about a month until I turned on FT. I then lost Hotspot and haven't gotten it back.

I had it on my unlimited grandfathered LTE before I left for Asia in November, just got back yesterday, turned off airplane mode and I notice I can't do FaceTime via cellular anymore

Mine actually stopped working a few hours later. I tried making a FaceTime call which then asked for wifi. I then also noticed my data connection had been frozen so I restarted my phone.

I got 5GB data plan on my iP5 and last week after rebooted, I got Facetime over LTE turned on. So ATT appears to give 5GB data plan another perk. Try yours.
