Are you using the 3D, or has it's glam worn off already?

I haven't even tried 3D yet. I bought The Avengers with the setup, but I haven't watched it yet. It wasn't a driving factor when I made my decision. It was all about the price and the general quality of the TV. The 3D was a bonus.

Got some gift cards from Home Depot over Christmas so my fiancee and I decided to buy some of this:

Outstanding. How many coats did it take?

I hate painting. I moved into my first house in 2010, painted every room by the kitchen, bathroom, and spare bedroom. Then in order for us to rent it out as quick as possible we had to go with a neutral color, so repainted which sucked as well.

Moved to a new house in August, and we want to paint, but I'm dredding it. It's either do it myself and save a few hundred bucks and headaches, or pay someone to do it professionally.

Your TV looks crooked. It is high but mine is high also. There was a lightswitch on my wall about halfway up that prevented me from mounting it lower. the height doesnt bother me now that im used to it though.

I got MIB3 in 3D for Christmas. It's great. The trick with 3D is for the producer not to overuse it...Just in scenes where it adds dramatic or shock effect. That's what they did with MIB. I have a collection of Natural History 3D Blu-Rays where they have gone WAY over the top with it. I think as the use of it grows we will see good quality 3D offerings. I too thought the 3D side of things was a bonus rather than a reason to buy the Sony, but I'm glad I did.

I've ordered a Blu-Ray 3D burner for my new iMac, and am going to experiment with a lot of 3D, developing my own production techniques.

Thanks! For the majority of the walls it took 3 coats, but painting over where the nasty wallpaper trim glue used to be took like 6 coats haha.

I know what you mean now, I really want to do the rest of the main floor but it's going to be so much work. It's almost better to save your time and energy and spend the money on painters. The kitchen is next and I'm not looking forward to all the tight corners and brush painting :|

Of course, espacially in multi-threaded app which I use a lot: After Effects - 2GB per thread and rest for multi-tasking.

What about start up speed? Opening/Closing?

I'm thinking about upgrading to 16GB to max it out on my iMac because it's starting to get sluggish.
