Phones Sony Yuga [5",1080p, S4 Pro, 2Gb, 12MPx]

Sexy but anything bigger then my galaxy s3 doesn't feel right in the hand.

Finally a decent & good looking flagship phone

Everything looks good. Just depends on the size of the battery. Lets hope sony have learnt from their mistakes.

Looks like a nice phone, but I don't like Sony's Android OS, looks terrible.

I guess phones will continue to get bigger, I thought they'd found a sweet spot with 4.6 inches.

Agreed, at least Google themselves seems to think 4.7" is the sweet spot. Technically 4.3 if you take into account the 3 soft buttons that take up the bottom portion of the screen. Either way this phone looks "meh" to me. The specs will become standard in 2013's high end Android devices, but nothing mind blowing in my opinion. I'll wait for HTC, and Samsung to wow us with their 2013 flagships.

Regardless of what people are saying, there is a market!

That looks pretty good.

I'm happy with an cell data iPad Mini and an iPhone, though. Got tired of trying to keep a large phone in my pocket.

Dimensions for the model on the right in goto55's post (right above) are supposedly 131.6 x 69.7 x 9.8m. Smaller in width and height compared to the S3, but a millimetre thicker.

Nice to see phones with less bezel and more screen.

This will all be wasted if the battery isn't like the note 2.

Are these the same phones? Why is the one on the right not the flagship?

From what I've read, they're different phones. The internals are the same, but different form factors for different countries/carriers.

The phone on the right is obviously better as it's so compact. I just don't understand why make the same phone two different ways, with one way being clearly the better form factor (albeit a bit thick).

Sony's Android skin is hideous. Specs look good, but the skin they put over Android isn't. Sony also needs to get this thing onto major US carriers, especially if they want to compete with the iPhone and the Galaxy S IV. Xperia devices are difficult to find in the US.

2 gigs of RAM in the Yuga, smartphones are getting closer and closer to laptops hardware imho

To be fair, the Galaxy SIII has had 2 gigs of ram since June in the US.

This with an unlocked bootloader could be superb.

Sony have impressed me with how well they've been supporting open development on their handsets.

It's all relative; always has been and always will be. I used to think the EVO 4G was HUGE at 4.3" then the GSIII came out with a 4.7. I am using a Note II now and I think that size is just perfect as a standard for anyone looking to have only 1 device.

In the end, you get used to what you're using.
