Any program on mac to transfer messages?

i want to not have to restore for backup on the new one but there are a few messages id like to have at least on my computer. Any way to do this?

Just copy the folder 'iChats' in your documents folder.

If it was jailbroken there are some apps that you can email the messages to you or anyone you choose.If it's not jailbroken you can try backup the iPhone message using iTunes.There should be a choice of SMS message under the “info” tab when you plug your iphone.You can put your SMS back to itunes but not able to modify them.
As for program, there're plenty iphone to Mac transfers out there.Here's one:

I'm not sure if this is what you want, but I use iMacsoft iPhone SMS to Mac Transfer to transfer my SMS to Mac as a txt file(.txt file).If you want to learn more about it there's a step by step user guide on How to transfer or backup SMS from iPhone to Mac
Step 1: Connect your iPhone to Mac
Step 2: Click "SMS" icon in the iPhone list. Several minutes later, all messages in iPhone are displayed in the interface.
Step 3: Check and find out the SMS you want to transfer, then click "Export the checked to local" button. Immediately, you can look through all iPhone SMS you transfer as .txt format in the Mac desktop.
That's all.

I would also advise to use Missing Sync to copy iPhone messages to PC. If you need a desktop utility then go for iPhone sms to Mac Transfer .

Connect your iPhone to computer, if connection succeeds, the contact iPhone SMS to Mac Transfer software will show your iPhone Information automatically.
Click "SMS", you will find all the SMS information. And then you can just click "Export checked files to local" button to start backup iPhone SMS to Mac totally. You make your own movie on Mac or share them on line.
