What was the point? It looks horrible and made it almost impossible to use the mute switch and harder to use the other buttons.

lol at the comments here. Phone looks great now, possibly better depending on personal taste. I swear it is impossible to get objective opinions on certain subjects here.

I like the look of the volume buttons, but yeah I agree with others when the mute switch looks hard to use now (Especially with no finger nails like me! :D)

I think everyone's opinion IS pretty subjective here. It doesn't look terrible but must be nearly impossible to use any of the hardware buttons which is pretty useless.

Should have disassembled the phone first and removed buttons before grinding, then polish surface. Still salvageable (workability) if they disassembled and replaced buttons. Overall, I like the look; reminiscent of the iPhone 4/original iphone. And, unlike other similar mod jobs, they were able to retain the lettering in the back, and the band gaps match the black glass. Sent from my iPhone 5.

When all of the "scuffgate" stuff started happening, I wondered to myself why Apple bothers coloring the aluminum. Seems like the white iP5 is pretty close and looks great, especially sitting next to a MacBook.

It would look nicer if there hadn't been huge amounts of the phone removed as well. Looks as though the chamfered edges are for naught, and the buttons/toggles are all ground down. 10 for the idea, 6 for execution.

all in all, if apple had released this as a color option, I think I'd buy it.

It's now maybe gram or two lighter. Could be under 110 grams... the world's lightest iPhone 5...

They just appear to be long because they are from a Chinese person, not an obese American.

*Disclaimer: I am an American.

Possibly. That doesn't change the fact that guys middle finger looks like a celery stock.

And I know plenty of fat Chinese people.
