Ok so i have Clear wireless internet and i connected it with a usb ethernet cable which System Preferences read as ok. Then i got a problem which was "Device has self assigned IP Address and may not be able to connect". So i added the Clear Device IP Address and it said "Connected" so i thought it would work now but when i go to the Internet it shows as if i was not connected. So how could i fix this?

I found that the ethernet cables were the problem. So initially take them out and replace them or try another cable at each end.
