Regarding #3 - The football program at Penn State has hurt the academic institution in State College. Why do you think they covered everything up? So they could continue to rake in money from the NCAA, Boosters, and advertisers. To ignore the financial reasoning behind the coverup is ignoring what is going on in big time college football today.

These men, and that institution, put their football program, and all the benefits that come with it, before the safety and well-being of children. Frankly, the punishment, while severe, is nothing compared to what those children have to live with the rest of their lives. And hopefully this will serve as a warning to other NCAA programs that they aren't above the law.
