Your link shows a net loss in income over that period? Isn't that bleeding cash?

They won't have to, BB is bleeding cash and losing customers every month now.
The founder is trying to buy the company and go private but the board thinks BB is worth a lot more, so as BB bleeds and becomes devalued, the founder is getting the company cheaper by the month, however they can not compete with Amazon and Apple directly. I have never heard one good Geek Squad story, and I warn people not to get it.
They have become a showcase for people to look and see the products and then buy them online or somewhere else cheaper.
As if Best Buy never advertises items for sale they only have 1-2 of?
Oh please. And Best Buy decided to price match during the holidays with their new policy. No one forced them to.
Maybe if Best Buy provided superior customer service people would still buy there.
As for Toys R Us - they are a complete mess. They should worry more about their infrastructure, customer service and empowering their employees vs a sale on iPhones.
Alot of hurt butts in here sound a bit communist.
I'd like to hear of just one person that got an iPhone 5 for $127. I'm sure there is, but other than here, I didn't hear of anyone I knew getting it. It wasn't the talk of the season, etc. Why? Because they didn't exist.

While I see nothing wrong with Wal-mart's advertising, I've got to say I was disappointed when I went to Wal-mart a few days before Christmas intending to buy both 16 gig and a 32 gig iPhone 5's and being told that Wal-Mart only carries the 16 gig model.
While it's probably something to do with policy of who can sell what products, if you're going to carry iPhones, maybe try carrying them all?
awww Poor Best Buy
NOT
Bunch of clueless goof balls run Best Buy. Trying to sell Monster cables and Bose junk. And their extended warrantee.
The sales reps have no idea what they are actually talking about, and considering their geek squad is run by idiots, I don't like BB.
Don't worry, they'll be out of business soon.
That.
Goodie for you, but many other people do not have that luxury.
I happen to like Walmart a lot, and shop there regularly. In my view, they sell good products at low prices to people who are trying to stretch a dollar in this lousy economy, and today that's nearly everyone. There may be an instance or two of "sharp business practices", but by and large, their volume buying power allows them to provide lower prices to their customers.
Walmart also provides many good jobs to the local community. I never understood people who protest a new Walmart store being opened. Despite the demagougary by some, there are always many more applicants than positions available at Walmart. The jobs they provide pay decent wages, health benefits, and even have college savings plans. Not a bad gig if you've got a family, especially with unemployment figures just listed today at 7.8% overall and over 11% for those aged 18-29.
Sounds like a bunch of whining to me.
+1 I agree.
Best Buy is going down, and crying like a baby while doing so.
Walmart does not create jobs.
WHen a Walmart goes up, the service is currently being provided by other means. THose other jobs pay more and typically have benefits.
Walmart rarely provides benefits for anything other than management. They systematically make sure most (80% or more) of their workers never cross the threshold to become benefit eligible. They have numerous wage claims in just about every state that they operate in.
The economy is bad so they get applicants. But when they put a Safeway, or some other grocery store out of business, do you honestly think Walmart has done the area a service?
Walmart, is a crap company, with crap policies, and they sneak by with some of the most unethical business practices.
I'll shop at Walmart only under extreme conditions.
To make sure I'm reading this right...
Best Buy complained because a competitor sold a product at a lower price? Which they felt forced them to offer it at the same lower price, leading them to loose money?
1. It's called competition,
2. Nobody forced Best Buy to drop their price. Some customers may have still chosen them over Walmart through brand preference/convenience of location,
3. No-wonder they failed so miserably in the UK if this is their response to a bit of friendly computation.
Gimmicks? If they're okay with losing money to bring people into their stores, who's to stop them? So much whining

I'll never buy a product from a company that supports making products overseas just to save money...
That's why my iPhone, iPad Mini, apple TV, and iMac were all made in the US of A.

Also, I like best buy. Where else are you going to go to see a vast assortment of products in person before you buy? (even if you don't buy it from them)
You are in the minority as their sales prove.
$$$$ that's how the public votes.
Now, if they'd spend some money to hire enough cashiers, so one can get out in a reasonable time, that be gravy.
So you mean you never buy a product that was made outside of North or South America? Cause Apple is a company that makes its products in China, Taiwan, and I think Denmark. Also, do you happen to own an "American" car like a Chevy?
