Super Comfy Headphones?
So I am in desperate need of some headphones, I have a few year old bose that have fallen apart, but also they hurt the top of my head when I wear them. I need something that will be super comfy and not hurt my head. They can be usb or 3.5mm plug or even bluetooth if they sound good.
Thanks! |

The Sennheiser 555s were very comfortable, at least in my case. They fit over the ears like a glove, and it's soft all around the headband.

Coincidentally, I mentioned on another forum that I am very happy with my Beyerdynamic DT880. I suggest that, if you can, find a hifi headphone specialist shop (there are some on the internet), and enquire there. I imagine you are more likely to get more informed opinions there than just on a computer forum.

My choice as well. Beautifully designed, very comfortable (made from genuine leather), sufficiently small to be portable, and offering very good sound quality; I bought a pair last year and have used them quite a lot for travelling in the period since then; personally, I have found them quite comfortable on plane journeys that have lasted for several hours.

I like my Sony MDR-V6 headphones. Very comfortable and fold up.

Hi again, I have just been catching up on this other thread on headphones: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1521065 There are a few recommendations arising there. If you can, do a live comparison (and, if you can, include those DT880s).

Try These
Would like to pick up a pair of Beyers. Rockwells Reviews in technical detail here. Also see the NY times reviews.
Rockwell also gives decent marks to a more affordable sony and an audio technica pair on his website. Poke around. http://kenrockwell.com/audio/beyer/index.htm http://kenrockwell.com/audio/beyer/dt-770.htm http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/04/ar...ar04.html?_r=0 http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/19/te...pagewanted=all |

Hi there, I'm new to this forum. But when the subject is comfortable headphones... I feel compelled to recommend my all time favourite headphones for comfort: Wildfire by Smart. http://www.smartheadphones.com.au/product/wildfire
The cushions are so incredibly soft it's unreal. And the sound quality is terrific. Bonus is that when I travel, foldable to about the size of a small palm so it fits in my bag nicely. |
