iCal not syncing properly with new iPhone

I have a new iPhone 5 and a new iMac. When I enter events on the iPhone they don't sync with my iMac. When I enter on the iMac it is hit or miss whether they sync. I have iCloud set up with calendar turned on on the iPhone. Does anyone know what else to do?

I have the same problem. Did anyone respond to you how to fix it?

I had this problem and never found a fix. Sometimes it would even sync an event to a different date.

The second time I lost work as a result of this fault I ditched the iphone altogether.
