iTunes prompts for password when opening

I have a minor annoyance with iTunes 11. Everytime i open it, it asks me immediately for my password to check for iCloud downloads (i.e when i download an app on my phone, it checks for it at this point on my computer). i fiddled with the settings but so far, nothing worked. Any suggestions?

Have you gone to the iTunes preferences->Store and un-checked "Always check for available downloads" or the Automatic Downloads choices?
