White dot on the screen (rmbp)

Hey

Today i noticed a white spot on my rmbp screen. like this http://img852.imageshack.us/img852/2213/phototd.jpg

is this a common problem? do i have to service it to get it fixed?

If it's one dead pixel, it's unlikely Apple will do anything about it, unless you're within the 14 day return window.

About LCD display pixel anomalies for Apple products released in 2010 and later

If it's white (and not black), there's a good chance it's just stuck and not dead.

I've had no problem with getting apple to replace dead pixels.

Call Apple, white dot appeared after 4 months for me. They fixed it without any questions.

It was done in matter of days, I think it took 3 days to exchange the display unit.
